Howard University

Established in 1867, Howard University is a private, federally chartered historically black university in Washington, D.C. Its mission is to provide students, especially promising African Americans, a comprehensive range of educational opportunities, while its vision is to develop distinguished, historically-aware, and compassionate graduates who continue to be dedicated to the betterment of society. Howard University offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees through its 13 schools and colleges, all located within the main campus.
