Elk Grove Unified School District, established in 1959, has grown to become one of the largest school districts in California, serving over 63,000 students from a number of communities in Sacramento County. The district operates over 60 schools, ranging from pre-school to adult education, and is committed to providing a learning community that challenges all students to realize their greatest potential. Its mission is oriented towards promoting learning by providing students with a high-quality, comprehensive and meaningful education.
